It’s a new roster with a new coaching staff and college rules limiting the amount of practice. Running up-tempo requires a well honed offense, including the communications. It’s possible we don’t run up-tempo much because we can’t, or we can only run a handful of plays out of up-tempo. As the season wears on you might see it more as our capabilities increase. Similarly, I think our special teams problems are a function of a lack of practice time spent on them as we worked on our offense and defense with our precious practice time.

Next season they will enter spring practice with a solid foundation in all three phases. We should see a much more finely tuned team take the field for the 2023 opener.
