If you are smart and don't care about what others think, you will buy a 2018+ Honda Odyssey. If you need AWD + Hybrid (36 city/hwy), you can get a 2021+ Toyota Sienna. Both will cost considerably less than a full-size SUV while being great people haulers (kids love minvans).

But I know this is Tigerdroppings, so folks will just down vote this recommendation and make fun of someone even thinking about driving a minivan, even when it is right choice.

I have to agree with Rick.

One of the smartest financial decisions we have made was buying a used, 2014 Sienna 2 years ago. Neither of us were excited about the purchase, but we have loved it. We purchased with 90k miles already on it, the kids and all of their friends love it and it has been incredibly comfortable for vacations.

I bought a Pacifica for the family last week, 2019, ~40K miles and am really happy with it. Was anti minivan forever but guess what, I’m usually not the one driving it anyways and my wife loves it as do the boys.

When the kids were younger we got a caravan that had 7k mikes on it for about half the price of a new one. Drove it to about 150k miles before it started acting up so we got rid of it. Was looking hard at an Odyssey. But then we got a great deal on a pathfinder so we got that.

We're on our 3rd van and love it. Drives like a car, won't door ding others, massive cargo storage, unlikely to get pulled over, and good gas mileage.
