Snubbed for an Oscar for her performance in Reform School Girls, imho.

She was a piece of work, but even in the early punk days, had really good players around her, especially when compared to other punk acts. Jean Bouverie was her bass player early on.

Saw The Plasmatics open for KISS on March 18, 1983 in Biloxi. It was quite a show for my 15 year old self to experience!

I'll bet. Hard to go back to WRNO, or whatever FM standard , album oriented rock you were being subjected to. I had a slightly older relative that was into the Dolls, Ramones, Pistol.. Velvet Underground...So I was exposed to the dark side early, as well. A friend turn me on to some CRO MAGS... Good stuff

The Plasmatics played at the UF Bandshell in 1981. I remember Wendy had on pasties and after about the second song, both had fallen off. She didn’t care and no one else did either.
