Film Study. Saints V. Falcons O-Line Edition

Went back and watched some the coach's film from this past victory over Atlanta. I wanted to see what the issue was with pass protection and run efficiency.
I found it. Adam Trautman and Cesar Ruiz.
First play from scrimmage, Trautman got beat on a run block for Kamara that forced Kamara to hesitate and side step and gave the safety time to close the lane.
On Taysom's TD run, there was really only one defender that had a chance to slow Taysom down and it was the guy Trautman was blocking.
Even on the subsequent extra point Trautman was blocking the edge and let a free runner blow right by him with no attempt to chip or anything.
Ruiz was terrible all game. Both in run blocking and Pass Coverage. I counted 4 times just in the first half that he had missed assignments and looked lost. On the image below, the momentum of the run went left, he stumbled out of the snap and couldnt recover so when Alvin cut back to go upfield, Ruiz was easily beat and Alvin ran right into him.
Overall, I found anytime Trautman was in the game on a run play, 3 yards or less was gained. When Juwan Johnson was in as a blocking TE both Ingram and Kamara had much more success.
Other notes:
Pete Werner had a hell of a game and was all over the field. On the opposite end, Kaden Ellis should never be asked to cover anyone ever again.
James Hurst was terrible in pass protection but good in run blocking.
Bradley Roby looked slow and a step behind everyone he covered all day.
The secondary looked good and didnt seem to have too many breakdowns being it was their first game playing together.

I noticed he was on the field a lot more outside of pass catching situations.

Gave up a 3rd for Roby to replace CGJ’s spot who we got a 5th for. Good maneuvering by our front office there.

Roby is a good nickel CB. There was absolutely no pass rush with dline worried about QB running.

Is that why we traded for Roby?

Juwan Johnson made it a priority to get better at blocking this offseason. It was his weakness. He got the most snaps, of all the tight ends, by a significant margin.
