Johnson was masterful in the Draft with the Cowboys. They didn’t win buying players during the Johnson era.

What Jimmy Johnson did with the Cowboys in his first five years was more impressive than any five year period by Belichick.
He took the worst team in football and made them one of the all-time greats (and beating all-time greats in the process, like the prime 49ers) in four years. The Walker trade and nearly all of his draft picks were genius.
What Johnson started with and what he created was remarkable.
