I don't get how this is an excuse. There were fewer people on campus and in the stadium than for a major SEC game. Not to mention plenty of people left at half time. The mess in the levee lots and Alex Box had nothing to do with playing Southern.

I don't think so. The north side of campus was packed. And it's absolutely an excuse All those Southern folks drove to the game so there were a shite ton more cars on campus than a regular gameday.

The levee lots were just as much of a shite show after the Garth Brooks concert in April. Gay, I know. But there was a big discussion here after the concert about how terrible the traffic flow out of the levee lots was. This isn't a problem just because LSU played Southern. It's two big events in a row they've failed.
