He threw the ball 34 times for a 73.5% completion percentage and that's with the drops. We have people acting like all he did was run and that he was inaccurate.

People are stupid and invested in being right. It's a symptom of our modern society I believe.

Daniels wasn't my first pick for QB, like many I have my concerns about how he'll do vs SEC caliber defenses. But he played a good game.

He was 26/35. Boutte had 4 targets his way that he missed. Cain had 3 that he missed.

He had 16 runs, most, if not all were scrambles though I assume the 4 sacks also show up as run attempts and at least one of his runs was the results of a poor snap on a running play where he had to tuck the ball rather than hand it off because the runner was to far out as a result of the snap (at least that is how it looked to me).

So of his 16 runs, at least 5 were not him looking at his first read then taking off. I suspect there were at least a couple of QB runs called. So the guy that people are calling 1st read then run threw the ball 35 times (actually 3 more time that were offset by penalties) and at least 5 other times he did not pull and run after the first read. So of the 51 (54 if you count the plays that were erased due to penalties) times that he made a play from a passing position he could only have pulled after 1 read and run 11 of those. And does anyone think that he had time in all 11 of those plays to go through his progressions rather than run? I'm sure some probably do but I don't.
