I went to the game and was certainly pulling for you guys against the Leg-Humpers. Now the press keeps spreading love for them but in reality, if you guys don't gift wrap 17 pts. for them on turnovers, you beat them. And you are rebuilding - not sporting a 3-yr starting quarterback and returning Heisman candidate at running back. In a rebuilding year for LSU, the Leg-Humpers best Nat'l Champ candidate in years needs help to win - I'd say you guys are in good shape for the long haul.

I feel your pain though. It's hard for you to go from reigning Nat'l Champ to watching the Tigers drop. This is kind of like what we went through last year. But with so many first-year starters in the secondary, they don't play as quick as they will with experience - though they have speed. And the first-year starter at QB gift wraps too many mistakes. And you pretty much outplay the Leg-Humpers if you take away two really poor passing decisions, in the Leg-Humpers premier year EVER - though the Gates will likely bring them to reality next week.

It's too early to flame on the coaches - you guys still have talent and are recruiting lights-out. You'll be alright - and good luck till next year!!

I understand the reasons that we are not a top 10 team this year, but it still sucks. It is kinda sad to see so many "experts" spout their opinion about what the problems with this team are, but they have never led any type of team to any kind of championship.

Well you want your team to win and dominate every year - rebuilding or not. But this is the SEC - not the PAC-10 where there is no one there to challenge you. Or the Big-10, where there may be only a couple teams that can challenge. No one does that in the SEC.

Good luck to you guys with 'Bama.

Thanks for the post. Did you see how empty those seats were when we were fighting for our lives out there. It seems that our fanbase only wants to support the team when they are winning. God help us, if we lose anymore than 4 games this season or if we end up like Michigan, Tennessee or Auburn. Yet, if this does happen, then maybe the bandwagon fans will disappear to show who the real fans are. I will fully support this team through thick and thin. Someone on this board posted that our fans are spoiled. I think they are right. We lost 2 games all year long and they want to fire people are get rid of the players. Let's go tigers!

Yeah the whole "world is ending" mentality is retarded. We lost TWO games, yeah the UF game was rediculously painful to watch and we prolly should've beat UGA, but nonetheless its two games. Its not like we're 3-4 right now or something. Look at tOSU, they are basically in the same boat we are. Only real difference it seems it there young QB doesnt throw pick-6s and their defense is playing pretty well(against big 10 teams anyway). You dont seen those guys freaking out about firing Tressel and thinking Ohio is going to collapse into the eternal pit of doom.

I think we're havin a great year. We'll be in a new years day bowl, can't expect to play for titles every year. The leauge is too competitive. Anybody remember the nineties? Partying all night cause we beat arky to become bowl eligible. Anybody that went through the hard times with lsu isn't complaining about coaching and all that crap today.

Oh yeah, I remember them days. I remember Herb Tyler and Kevin Faulk doing pretty good for us back then as well. Ever since we became a power house sincethe 2003 NC people forget where we came from. We were not a Michigan, Miami, or Florida by any means. It wasn't until the past couple of years we really started to compete in the SEC. So, I'm not going to get upset after 2 losses.

At least, us, being SEC fans, actually have some drama and excitement to our football season. But part of that excitement and drama means your favorite team does not blow everyone out every weekend. And when we win an SEC championship, our team has really accomplished something and we really feel good. Of course the flip side is that in those years you do not dominate, it can get really painful - especially for some more so than others.

Just think how bad it must be to be an pOSU fan or USC fan - where you get like one or two weekends a year that really get you up. They can have that. I'll take the up and down years and the pain and the glory.

Thanks LafayetteGator, you hit the nail on the head. People forget that UGA was #1 in the polls at one point and are still a VERY GOOD team. We have lots of freshman and some inexperienced players (even though this is game 6) they are still learning. It is a huge jump from high school to college and also from sitting on the bench to playing. I am sure you were disappointed as well last year after the NC and not repeating. College football has such parity these days. The days of dominmation by one team is just not going to happen especially in the SEC....now if you played in the PAC 10 that would be a different story. So thanks for your comments and I hope that some angry Tiger fans just relax and allow our players to mature and things will turn around. I hate to say it and I will get bashed but we put all our marbles in one basket thinking Perrilloux would straighten out and be our guy but it didn't work. An inexperience QB in the SEC is difficult at best.

Thanks Gator. I think we all felt that we would be 10-2 or 9-3, but it has been the way we have lost. The offense I expected to be not so good with a green qb, but I expected more for the defense, especially the line. When we don't get pressure, that puts more stress on the inexperienced dbs and that is why we lose so bad. If we had a green dl, i would understand, but no excuses for them being bad.

Weaver, you hit it on the head as well. I expected lots more from the DL. With pressure on the QB from the DL it definitely makes the CB's and S's look so much better. Linebacker play has dropped off since last year as well. I too didn't expect another NC this year and 9-2 or 8-3 is attainable. I still love my TIGERS. They are the BEST

I agree. I just hope we don't get embarrassed against BAMA. I hope we run the table and they win the bowl game, with some momentum towards next season.

I stated this several times. Bingo!

Florida had 4 loses last year after their NC year. I think the Gators are rebounding pretty well.

Good luck next week. At least LSU offense was able to give Florida PLENTY of info on the Dawg defense.

I am hoping that Florida stomps UGA's arse in the dirt as pay back for that childish celebration stunt last year.
