How about taking me fishing with the crew there instead of lunch?

UM is a "take no prisoners" type of guy. He doesn't care if the "enemy" doesn't like him. It's kind of like Spurrier once said - if your opponents like you then you are probably doing something wrong.

Arrogance seems to be a trait of good coaches - Saban, Spurrier, UM - and there's people who don't care for Les either. Goes with the territory.

Good luck Tigers

I've seen a lot of upset Tiger fans following the LSU-UGA game, but I'm seeing that game differently. What I saw was at worst two equal teams with LSU just serving up two huge mistakes that just so happened to make that 14 pt difference. I know saying you were equal to a team that just got thrashed is maybe not so great - but you are doing this with a bunch of new starters in a rebuilding year - same thing Florida went through last year.

I think you guys are going to be just fine - your youngsters need to mature a little bit. LSU is deep with talent just thin on experience. It's maybe not in Florida's best interest but I'll pull for you guys pretty heavy this weekend. I really thought you could beat Georgia and I think you can beat 'Bama. That might hurt UF's shot at the Nat'l Championship, but I'll settle for an SEC Championship any year. Of course there's a lot of work left to get the SECC.

But back on topic - one thing I saw this weekend was a lot of passion by Florida. I saw this in last years LSU team. I'm not seeing it from LSU this year. Maybe playing too tentative. Anyway - with a #1 coming to town I'm betting the passion meter is up and hope you guys can pull off the upset. Good luck.
At the risk of making you guys feel any better....but come on - that is just stupid. Look at Auburn, Tennessee, Miami, etc. - and these are just schools I dislike. There are more out there besides them. Okay, enough time spent on this stupidity.
Maybe the only thing declining is ESPN's College Football analysis. You guys will end being a thorn in our arse long before we want you to. But forgive us if we enjoy it while we can.

At least, us, being SEC fans, actually have some drama and excitement to our football season. But part of that excitement and drama means your favorite team does not blow everyone out every weekend. And when we win an SEC championship, our team has really accomplished something and we really feel good. Of course the flip side is that in those years you do not dominate, it can get really painful - especially for some more so than others.

Just think how bad it must be to be an pOSU fan or USC fan - where you get like one or two weekends a year that really get you up. They can have that. I'll take the up and down years and the pain and the glory.

Well you want your team to win and dominate every year - rebuilding or not. But this is the SEC - not the PAC-10 where there is no one there to challenge you. Or the Big-10, where there may be only a couple teams that can challenge. No one does that in the SEC.

Good luck to you guys with 'Bama.

Hang in there Tigers

I went to the game and was certainly pulling for you guys against the Leg-Humpers. Now the press keeps spreading love for them but in reality, if you guys don't gift wrap 17 pts. for them on turnovers, you beat them. And you are rebuilding - not sporting a 3-yr starting quarterback and returning Heisman candidate at running back. In a rebuilding year for LSU, the Leg-Humpers best Nat'l Champ candidate in years needs help to win - I'd say you guys are in good shape for the long haul.

I feel your pain though. It's hard for you to go from reigning Nat'l Champ to watching the Tigers drop. This is kind of like what we went through last year. But with so many first-year starters in the secondary, they don't play as quick as they will with experience - though they have speed. And the first-year starter at QB gift wraps too many mistakes. And you pretty much outplay the Leg-Humpers if you take away two really poor passing decisions, in the Leg-Humpers premier year EVER - though the Gates will likely bring them to reality next week.

It's too early to flame on the coaches - you guys still have talent and are recruiting lights-out. You'll be alright - and good luck till next year!!
