Do you think established coaches leave their jobs for a lesser contract?

And hiring a non established coach is a crapshoot at best, more fail than succeed.

understood, I still say that Woodward isn't the sharpest tool in the shed for what he is tasked with doing, and I've been saying that ever since he got the job, a lot of his quotes sort of back that up and are quite cringy given the impact his decisions have on our program

Regardless of your opinion, Coach O gets credit for the greatest team in CFB history. Deal with it.

oh I don't stay awake at nights thinking about that, just discussing, on a discussion board, this whole thing of coaches, their benefit packages, NIL, etc., is pretty laughable, imo

I remember when he killed a kid filming ND and this whole board brought that up constantly

You do realize he's also the losingest coach in ND history as well?

What a dumb fricking statement. His win % at ND was 74%. a swear some of you need to take a break from the internet before you beat your wife and kids

He gets into year 7-8 even if he cannot go above break even, at the best.
Where do people think we are get an extra 20 million every year to pay bum coaches we gave massive contracts to and then fired?

Assume I'm dumber than advertised. LSU classes have ranked 10-15 spots higher than FSU for years. So FSU is logically the more talented roster?

Lucky for you, we don’t have to. You are on an advertising blitz right now.

If 60% of those recruiting rankings aren’t playing for the current team, that factoid doesn’t mean anything.

He is probably in Destin. Maybe you can squeeze in between him and Brandi.

But judging Kelly based off one game with this roster is dumb.

Honestly, I saw a lot of what I was hoping to see last night. LSU did not give up. In fact almost came back and won, despite SLOPPY mistakes. 2 dropped TD’s, 2 dropped punts, and 2 blocked kicks and STILL almost won that game. The offense looked pretty decent in the 4 th quarter and so did the defense.. got us that big stop on 4th and goal earlier, and then forced a punt with 2:00 left when we needed it most.
Losing sucks, but that was a much much better team I saw than the team that got throttled by UCLA last year.
I say the future is bright. Might be a tough season because the SEC is looking stacked this year. But the future is bright.

I know he signed a 10 year contract. However, if LSU isn't a big bowl game by year 3 he's gone.

no. Playoff appearances, national championship appearance several 10-11 win seasons. I don’t remember mediocrity
