If he misses it he’s burned at the stake. Eyesight is 20/20. Most coaches kick the extra point there unless they feel like they’re severely undermanned ala Boise ST in the Fiesta Bowl.

Kelly going for 2 points IMHO was the only choice! 1st off you had no business being "in the game" at this point. Just geaux for two and be done w it. Let the football Gods decide your fate. Tigers played their hearts out for 60+ minutes. Even if you lose it's still a hell of an opener!

Throw in the fact(s) that you've had kicking game issues earlier in the game and our 2 pre-season All-Americans on defensive line were out for rest of game.

Kelly may be the $100MM Man but he is human and that means imperfect. Pretty sure he's thinking the same thing about going for 2 points. Maybe next time he'll re-consider......
