frick AJ my arse. He shouldn’t be pitching 3 days in a row.

I was yelling at my TV (dumb, I know) on Friday when Minter was brought in, and the guys on the broadcast were having the ridiculous "rest vs rust" conversation. I was saying "you can sit him today, and then you can let him pitch tomorrow in any score, knowing you have that off day coming Monday. But if you pitch him in this game, and you need him tomorrow, he's burned for Sunday".

And burned he was... But our coaches decided to throw him out there anyway, and now they know exactly why he should never pitch 3 days in a row. Only they should already have known that. They just cost us a game in the standings.

That is inexcusable. This is two games in a row where the Braves clearly hit the ball better than the Cardinals, and we just handed them a game at the end.

“I’m an Atlanta kid. This is my home,” Swanson told the AJC. “This will always be my home. After I’m done playing, (my fiancée) Mallory (Pugh) and I will be in Atlanta, and our kids will grow up in Atlanta, too. This is home, and (the Braves) know that. We’ll just see where things go.”

Matzek, Fried and Riley told the AJC that Dansby has essentially replaced Freeman as the leader. Riley called him the captain. Matzek said the young guys now look to Dansby as their example and they try to mirror his work ethic now.
