Put a piece of scrap screen on top of the hole at night. Pour your choice of kill liquid down the hole (dish washing liquid and water, Bifen, kerosene, etc.)

Wear a headlight with a red lense,they can’t see it.I went to spray a yellow jacket nest with a regular white headlight.One of them flew at the light and stung me in the corner of my eye.
