Doing a work thing in Amite this weekend. Can y’all recommend a good course out there?

Yes. Ride up I-55 about 20 minutes and get off at the Kiln exit. Go left to Percy Quinn State park. Quail Hollow is a fun lay out with lots of elevation change. Course is in decent shape, but be aware the cart path will kill you. Drive slow

What's a comparable course to this in the area? Royal in Slidell?

Probably only course in the area open this weekend due to rain. Drains unbelievable with all the hills.
Fun track. Better have short game working. Tough greens.
Greens have been good all year. Just punched front 9 week ago.

Heading there for the first time this weekend and will bring my push cart. I'd rather walk if it's cart path only but looking forward to it and curious to see how it has responded to all the cloud cover, humidity and spurts of rain the last few days.

Percy Quinn is one of my favorite courses and is about 30 minutes from Amite. Cam2 is fun as well with the layouts of the front and the back being completely different, but I always find Cam2 to be lacking in terms of condition of the course. It is about as good as Webb.

Hope your pushcart has a brake on it. Prepare for some steep climbs and downhills.
It's a fun course, and I'd like to get back there soon.
