Has anyone been to Cartegena, Columbia? Going to a wedding in Feb. Any recommendation?

Been twice. Stay in the old city (will remind you quite a bit of New Orleans) if you can and enjoy walking around, sightseeing, the beach, drinking, and great food. The fort is also really cool so check that out.

La Mulata is a great restaurant. Restaurant Cande was probably our favorite. And we started every morning at the Epoca espresso bar. Awesome place

Second this. Cande is great...also add Carmen. And Epoca is a must if you like coffee

Romancing the Stone apparently lied to me about how to pronounce the name of the City.

That’s all I know. I hope it was helpful.

I've been. I preferred staying outside of the old city in the Getsemani neighborhood. It's more of a backpacker scene so depends on your vibe.

I spent a fair amount of time in Colombia and enjoyed Cartagena but only for a few days. If you are making a longer trip of it consider Tayrona National Park and Minca. Depends on what kind of trip you're taking.
