Yes...

I had a Goodman set of ACs back in Texas. Both times the "warranty" was in place but the costs were extreme.

The capacitor went out on the 3 ton unit costing me $275.00 (labor only) they claimed.

The evaporator went out on the 5 ton costing $1500.00 -labor only the following year.

The units were 3 years old at the time. The warranty was "in effect" but it sure didn't feel like it.

We recently built in Broussard and I put in Lennox systems. My builder's HVAC guy tried to get me to use Amana and swore up and down how good they were. They are part of the Goodman family, I was a hard no on this.

Add Trane to the shite list.

At least with the Goodman companies, I get why they need to keep as much money to pay all that fricked up families legal bills from killing kids while driving drunk and sending everyone else to multiple rounds of rehab.
