Parsons is actively trying to destroy his brand. Saw an ad yesterday where his current line is $299 but that it’s going back to $499 in September.

What kinda marketing approach is this?

The price slashing so fast is really odd from pxg. I guess they have to compete somehow.
I’ll be hard pressed to get rid of my Tsi3. No way I’m taking a gamble on a driver without fitting and fine tuning it

But why tell people it’s going back to $499?

Wouldn’t it be better to just run flash sales over the weekend a few times a year? I don’t get the point of advertising that you’re going the other direction with the price. Like shamwow sales tactics

I bought the Gen 4 driver and three wood. They lasted two rounds before I traded them in. I knew they would never be good for me. I love the irons though.

I’m pretty confident that they will be paying people to buy their clubs soon. I will wait until that time

I got ridiculed for saying this for the last two years. Look who was shown to be right again....

No he's not. You dump the kind money he has into a company you want success.. And he's had a lot of success in his other business ventures.

It's a multi-tiered pricing strategy that other larger and older companies have used for a long time..

They set the driver's and woods competitively at their normal pricing. But, these sales you're seeing are just market penetration tactics...

PXG didn't market its self like a traditional golf company like a year ago. Now they're a discount manufacturer. Complete 180 in mission statement

I agree with you.

PXG had the perfect thing going as a boutique clubmaker and marketing itself as a super premium brand was working and they experienced growth.

Discounting a 4 month old Driver was a horrible strategy. They may get a lift in August with the 299.00 price point, but that Driver will die on the vine starting 9/1.

That strategy works well with can goods, but golfers are a very fickle bunch.

I had several guys ask me what was wrong with the Driver, that is a perception that is hard to undo.

As a consumer that really upset me since I got the Gen 5 when it first hit the market.

For a budget minded golfer there is no better option than the 0211 line.

Excellent quality and a great price.

There are great things about PXG and there are some poor things about them.

It's still overpriced. It's the worst "real" driver on the market. It belongs in a full set in a box at Academy.

Crazy how they were once considered premium clubs and now it’s like Tour Edge Exotics and the WWE started a golf club company together.
