re: How did you ask your s/o dad for permission?

One of the proudest moments of my life. After I asked for his blessing, and he said yes, he told me he had not asked for the blessing and he always wished he had. It’s an important thing if only as a bonding moment or respect.

I was nervous as all hell. I had what I wanted to say all planned out. I didn’t say half of what I wanted, but I said what mattered.
