most of anchorage itself is pretty liberal. the city council is very liberal outside of three members.
most of your conservatives or conservative leaning independents live at the air force/army base and north through Eagle River and Chugiak (essentially a suburb of Anchorage). also south Anchorage (where rich people or well off/upper middle class families live)

So Alaska is not a lot different than much of the US? Liberal in its most populous area and conservative most others?
