But what did he really mean? Lol

Imagine not taking personal responsibility for decisions you make. Nobody forced him to stay at LSU.
Terrible analogy, BTW. Brennan wasn't cut, he just didn't WIN the job and decided to step away from football.
Also, like others have said, you have no clue how those discussions went, but yeah, let's blindly blame other people for our decisions that don't work out. That's victim mentality. It always someone else's fault.
Brennan also got many NIL deals to stay at LSU, so I'm assuming that had as much to do with his decision as anything Kelly said to him.
I suppose you'd prefer a coach that didn't play the best players regardless of tenure or history.

He already tried that.

BK told him he could compete for the job. He was never told it was his. Y’all are pathetic. He tried to win and failed.

No, but bringing in Jayden Daniels after convincing Myles to stay just doesn’t sit well with me. He could’ve had a great senior year at a smaller school and done well for himself
Ok, and he’s free to enter the transfer portal and do just that.

Brennan wasn’t guaranteed anything, the addition of Daniels makes that obvious. Brennan is a big boy and made his own decision

We have some losers in this fanbase.
Brian Kelly's job is to win football games at LSU. To win football games in the SEC, you have to have great QB play. That means get as much talent in the QB room as possible and create a high level of competition.
Jayden Daniels didn't enter the portal until February. Brennan decided to come back in December.
Are you really saying you're upset Kelly saw an opportunity to add talent to the QB room and increase the competition? You're saying he should have just said "naw, were good" and rolled the dice on a guy coming off of back to back season ending injuries?
I'm sure glad you guys aren't in charge of managing our roster.

If you're feelings are hurt that bad then you should write CBK a letter to let him know how you feel and then root for another team this year

I can't believe I just upvoted nicotine free.

I don't think his head is in football anymore. It seems pretty obvious based on how he wasn't working as hard as the other 2 guys.

I would say adding Daniels was the right move by Kelly
If Brennan is going to quit football over losing the QB battle his heart just wasn’t in it. And that’s perfectly fine.
But it seems to me like BK read the situation properly

He still had time to transfer if he didn’t like it
Did some of you stop to think maybe Brennan didn’t really want to go play at a some crap school as starter for a season? He probably decided to make one more run at starting here and if he didn’t win the job hang it up.

The people that keep posting asking if he’s going to get drafted are killing me. I can’t tell if these people are real life.

Exactly. What if he didn’t bring Daniels in? Now what if Nuss gets the starting job and Brennan decides to walk away from football? You never turn down the opportunity to add a talented player who can make your team better.

BK went and asked him to come back
Myles had the freedom to say no. And from what we know, he returned with the understanding that he would have to compete for the starting position. Brian didn’t promise to give him anything.

This seems like the obvious answer given how it's all played out.

When you can't get any lower, upside is all you have.
Great kid but he quit twice. I'm sure his parents are proud though.

A Hooker on Airline Highway told me that Jimmy Swaggart is recruiting him for JSBC

Brian has to be loyal to the entire team, and not any one particular quarterback. And bringing Jayden in to compete and provide more depth was the right thing for the team.
As someone said earlier, imagine if Brian placates to Myles’ feelings, and never offers Jayden, then Nuss beats Myles out, and he quits…. We’re stuck with two young scholarship qb’s. Then heaven forbid, imagine Nuss getting hurt at some point in the season, and Walker becomes our only scholarship qb… this team would be in trouble.
