I think the fact that we took Mac means we either passed on Montgomery or didn't feel like we had a good shot to get him. Listening to Jay over the past season, he seems very keen on building a team and understanding what personality's mesh with his style. I don't think its a coincidence that Burns, Hill and possibly Montgomery have landed else where. Those players seemed like they wanted guaranteed spots. Something tells me Jay said if you come to LSU you have to earn your position. All speculation on my part.
