And that's the issue.

Everything else they've tried to convict him on has been irrelevant. Nevermind that others have done worse and faced much less consequences. It's the fact they continue to attack him.

Look at this logically. It begs the question that progressives don't want to ask. What could he have done that would make them continue to behave this way when nothing they have tried has been successful.

And beyond that, what have we done that could make them come after us. Conservative, liberal, gay, straight, white, black, we're all one step away from being crushed. It's not like we have the ability to defend ourselves like he has. They have the power to destroy whomever they please and anyone celebrating this is blind to the fact that they may be next.
