I don’t think most folks criticize the traditions.
I think they challenge some of the choices made, like Giles and Boutte, as recipients of the honor for No. 7.
It is no longer clear at all what the criteria are for this honor.
If you give No. 7 away to the best player, even if he is not a loyal teammate, maybe Boutte is an ok choice.
Anyway, Ojalari was a good choice for No. 18.
