Exactly what it is. There’s a fall break, winter break in February, Mardi Gras break (for some) and added days (usually about 5) for bad weather. They should cut out the fall and winter breaks.

Yep. This is a byproduct of teachers not being able to go more than 3 weeks without some sort of "break", exacerbated further by the need to now cancel school anytime there is mildly inclement weather in the forecast. There is no need for a "fall break". Why is there a week long "Winter break" (i.e. Mardi Gras in Louisiana) a month or two following the 2 week Christmas break, AND a week long "spring break" relatively soon after the winter break?
