My sister had a parotidectomy. They cut her jaw in half to get to it, then put a metal plate over her chin to put her jaw back together. Brutal.

They didn't break my jaw that I'm aware of. Did she get first bite syndrome as a side effect? I did. Feels like someone stabs me in the jaw joint with a needle every time I eat something tart, sweet, or salty. Good times. Good times.....
