I have a lean-to metal porch awning coming off my house that does not have any beam/braces in the middle, but would like to mount an outdoor ceiling fan somehow. I don't think its possible because there is no supportive beam to mount to and it might cause rain water to leak through because of the low pitch. Should I just stick with wall mount swivel fans?

yes unless you are prepared to engineer and construct a solid support structure framework under the awning to mount the fan to, as in a whole lot of metal bracing and money spent
