Denmark, Maine to be exact. A friend of mine lives out in the boonies with his pops and dog. I happened to notice a lot of LSU tiger and bama plates up there at the "spot" for shooting pool, eating BBQ and camping. When did this be a trend?? I'm not trying to gate keep or anything. I never thought Maine would be full of southern transplants.

I don’t really care about the stickers.

What’s your review of western Maine?

Went to Maine a couple years ago. Realized why rich people go there for summer. It was great.

Lots of outdoorsy stuff to do like hiking, water rafting and just enjoying nature. I can see why people love renting cabins out here to get away from the city.

Not alot of city things to do as that's more in Portland, ME (also v prog)

Obama dumped a lot of Somalis in Portland unfortunately. The Massachusetts transplants are also awful.

But. Maine is still a great place.

Its really IMO not comparable to the type of people you'd find in any louisiana city. I grew up in new orleans east well after the middle class white people left - give me an immigrant from another country over a welfare+ghetto-raised person any day.

Good lord this is like a quote straight out of a hate group news letter.

You sir are just as bad as the radicals on the other side that you hate. Hopefully you wake up and realize your close mindedness is a bad thing for society and the world

Was it a bbq joint near bar harbor (or on the way)?

We went up that way a while back and there was a bbq joint and I thought to myself “the f I’m gonna eat bbq in Maine?!”

Then on the flight back randomly in the airline magazine there was an article about THAT PLACE and how the owner was from down here (maybe arkansas). Kicked myself.
