I used falcon coastal in the past, but I’ve broke a few recently. I replaced them with Okuma DTR rods that I have been very happy with.

Just bought two Okuma DTR rods for popping corks. Puglias is running a little sale on them. Falcon Coastals are solid. If I wanted to spend more I'd look at the inshore Shimano Teramars

I just broke a coastal. It was probably my fault. I caught a nice sheepshead and didn’t bring my bigger net in my yak. So I was trying to keep this thing still while sticking my pliers in his mouth cause he swallowed the hook. He kept bouncing out of the net, and finally I guess bent the tip too much and snapped it. I was so mad I threw it back. I was just about to head in.
I bought a Waterloo Phantom to try. It was about the same price as a Coastal, and the rods intrigue me, especially like the custom options.
