I don’t get it either. He had at least 2 dropped ints in the Spring game and people were still drooling over him. He needs a little more time/reps.

When fans keep repeating an erroneous statement, you question their motives.
He had one pass that was batted by a DL, but it wasn't close to being intercepted.
Another pass was thrown to Mashburn near the sideline.
It was contested by the DB but it wasn't in the DB's hands.

I watched the game just like you did. There were two dropped ints
Thanks though

You’re not as smart as you think you are and you damn sure don’t know as much about football as you think you do.
The cocky schtick needs to go.
The dude had an opinion, he doesn’t need you to go through and break it down sentence by sentence like you’re some football guru because I’ve read your post and you’re not. I can absolutely guarantee that you don’t know the game like you think you do

You're upvoting your own posts, aren't you?

Nuss looked more comfortable in the pocket as a freshmen than Myles did as a junior
Can just just imagine what Brennan would have done if he were "comfortable"!!
1,112 yards in his first 3 starts, more than double Burrows first 3 starts.
FYI JD is no SEC passer. If Brennan doesn't start (which he will, at least the beginning of the season ) it's Nussmiers job.

They always want the other guy and will go great length to support their inaccurate statements.

Seriously, what is wrong with you? There is no way that you're this delusional.

You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. In his first 3 games, Burrow attempted 78 passes, in Myles' first 3 games he attempted 131 passes. You guys touting that "Myles has the best 3 games in history" are absolutely clueless and didn't watch any of those 3 games

We all watched those games. He looked great basically second half of Miss St on
I’m wondering what games you watched that have you so fricking high on Nuss.

If you watched those 3 games and have to come to the conclusion that Myles is the guy to lead our team, then I've got some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you. I'm high on Nuss because of his performance in the spring game as well as his performance in the spring practices. The best player on our team and the best wide receiver in the country has also came out and rallied for Nuss to start

I think Nussmeier may have the best all around playmaking ability of the three. That said, the spring game is FAR different than an actual game, much less than ideal setting to evaluate a player relative to ACTUAL games vs. SEC competition.

One of the 3 will come down with some type of "injury" in camp, it won't be Brennan. His clock is ticking.
Posted on 7/20/22 at 11:27 am to NicotineFree2022
12 TDS and a 60% completion rating in actual games vs a spring game where he had 9/16 with 136 yards vs our backup backups.

Multiple post on the rant today assuming that Nuss just has this QB comp wrapped in a bow.
Which means he won’t be the starter, the group think on this board is almost always wrong when it comes to these things

Moreover, that long pass that Nuss completed to Jack Bech at the back of the end zone while under immense pressure was off the charts. In fact, the only QBs who could have completed that pass was Garrett Nussmeier and maybe Patrick Mahomes.
This is made up.
It also wasn’t a brilliant pass. The CB just didn’t turn around.

It’s hard for me to fathom the utter lack of context when things like this are posted. The teams Myles played were not as good as the ones Burrow played. And the offense was completely different. We didn’t throw the ball nearly as much early in ‘18 as we did in ‘20. After the incredible offense in ‘19, O knew that’s what the fans wanted, which means it’s what he wanted. He wanted Joe Brady’s offense, throwing the ball all over the place. And our defense was terrible, so we were in shootouts. And, 2020 was the easiest year to play QB, maybe ever. In college and the NFL. One, because defenses weren’t able to be implemented due to the lockdowns and all the new guys after everybody got drafted didn’t ever really get to play together, while the QBs and WRs could at least get together and run routes and throw.
But the biggest thing, is they played in front of no crowds. QBs on the road had no noise to deal with. This makes sense, but was also documented, both in college and the NFL. And May had been at LSU 4 years in 2020. Burrow had been here about 5 months.
And I don’t mean this as any sort of criticism of Myles, just that the situations were so incredibly different, this stats comparison of their 1st 3 games is ridiculous without context.
One thing Myles does has going for him is his age. Being 23 and mature is a huge advantage and may wind up being what wins him the job. However, he hasn’t played a whole lot of football over the past 6 years. Think about it—he hasn’t been the starting QB since 2016 when he was in high school sans those 3 games in ‘20. Daniels has started the last 3 seasons in college, and I’m sure at least 2 in high school. Nuss was a full time starter in high school in ‘20, ‘19, and probably ‘18. Howard started the past 3 years of high school. Obviously high school at any level is nowhere near the SEC, but those 3 have just played a lot more football than Myles the past 5 years. That matters. How much, who knows, but at least some.
I could make an argument for all 4 QBs to start to be honest. Howard will probably redshirt, but I think the narrative that he wants to is a bit overblown. He’s a competitor, and if he somehow unlikely comes out and blows everybody away and Kelly thinks he’s the best guy, I doubt very seriously he’s just gonna say, “nah, I’m good. I’d prefer to redshirt.” But I could really make a good argument for each of the the other 3. They all have strengths. And weaknesses, of course.
