Andrew Robinson just posted a review. He was very impressed.

The auto-calibration tool is pretty amazing.

Pulled the trigger, should get it by next Wednesday or Thursday. Can't wait to see what how this TV handles everything. Hopefully I don't have to buy a new TV for a while now.

You do realize that when 8K actually becomes a widespread thing, your “new” 2022 TV tech is going to be old school and maybe not very compatible with the new tech that comes with future 8K sets.

You’ll be buying again.

Better off getting a high-end 4K right now.

By the way, I’m sure your new TV will look great. It just will not be future-proof.

I'm cool with that, I usually upgrade every 4-5 years anyhow. Ill wait for Samsung to put out a few versions of their oled tech and get one later on.

Nice buy, great tv.

8K, the best tech Samsung has to offer, 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, ATSC 3.0, Mini LED with quantum matrix.

As long as you watch a lot of 4K content the upscaling to 8K is very noticeable and the best in the tv business.

Contrary to the other poster, this is actually quite a future proof TV.

Gonna spend that much money and NOT be able to enjoy Dolby Vision? Seems like an odd choice.

You couldn't tell the picture is incredible I love it. My dilemma now is I have a Bose Sound touch 300 sound bar system I paid like 1600 for a couple years ago, if I get a Samsung Qseries I can take advantage of qsymphony feature of the TV but the Bose system is awesome. I may just get the sound bar 900 with the upward facing speakers. The Bose stuff is too good imo

There are plenty of tests out on youtube showing very distinct and impressive image quality differences between HDR10 and Dolby Vision if you havent seen the difference yourself.

Content originally mastered in HDR10+ "can" look phenomenal but that content is very miniscule. Amazon is the only studio mastering in HDR10+ and they dont put forth the full effort for all titles so most of them are meh with picture quality. Very few bluray discs that come in HDR10+ were originally mastered in that format. HDR10+ is a GREAT format and it really needs more attention with all the samsung TVs out there.

I hope HDR10+ gets more widespread use and taken more seriously as it is perfect fit for all the modern 10bit TVs we have (not just samsung) but until then, DV clearly looks better 99% of the time.

For sure I'm not saying DV don't look better I'm just saying I don't feel like I'm missing anything with the quality of the picture this TV puts out. I don't understand why Samsung don't just support it it's a mystery to me. This TV going in a big room that sees alot of natural light so the backlight advantage of the mini led played a big part in why I got this one.

Samsung is the driving force behind HDR10+ and the whole reason they created it was to provide a "free" dynamic metadata format because they did not want to pay for the licensing of Dolby Vision. Kudos to them for driving an open/free format choice. I think Samsung is doing just fine digging in their heels and sticking to their guns. I wish the industry would provide more support for it.

After a few days with this TV and man what a great TV picture is amazing and stunning on some content. Have to see it in person to appreciate it but I'm completely happy with this purchase and seems like the sound bar sounds better also. Very little to no blooming and blacks are solid gotta be close to OLED levels. Can't wait for football season
