I'm on an acid bath kick again, listening to their classic 90s metal albums when the kite string pops and paegan terrorism acts, which for a time these albums where somewhat hard to find on the internet. But anyway, i thought surely someone on this board has memories of the early days of this band, if not knowing them personally. So what was that time like?

Summoned a demon with them one time. His name was Jimmy.

I loved acid bath in my teens and 20s.

Had my first striptease to “Scream of the Butterfly”

I saw them play Live three times. Twice at a place called Main Street in Breaux Bridge, and once at Grant Street in Lafayette. They definitely put on a good show.

In High School we would listen to them all the time...but I did a lot of dumb things in High School.

Every once in a while I will listen, and it definitely takes me back.

I heard them well after the fact, when I was in high school around 2008/09. I was playing in metal bands, and the guys that where a little older than us that played all listened to acid bath and jammed on their tunes, and that's how I heard them.

i worke on chimes street as a bouncer in the early 2000's they played a few times a years between the bayou and Ichabods. the crowds where always interesting. first show i worked some dumbass set a counch on fire inisde the bar. towards the end of thier run they turned into douche's. last straw for the guys that owned the bar is when the called the day of a show and wanted $1000 more because another bar in town said the would pay that much to have them play that night. owners told them to pound sand. they cxled the show, when people showed up expecting them we told them they had cxled the show and moved it to Splash down the road.

Every time I pass the Gonzales Rec Center (which is entirely too often) , I tell my kid how I used to go see them there. Then I put on an Acid Bath song.

In other news, my daughter HATES Acid Bath.

my high school band booked Kilgore (Sammy and Morphine) to do a show with us at Insomneeacks (sp?). Morphine barfed on everything while screaming “don’t piss in my truck, bitch”. We also didn’t pay them anything (we didn’t get paid either), so I spent a solid 10 years avoiding Sammy.

If that's your worst Sammy story you're lucky. He's cool as shite when sober though.

I mean, I spent those 10 years making sure I didn’t have a more memorable Sammy story.

I seem to remember Sammy telling us that Marilyn Manson ripped off a bunch of his tattoos.

Also, I forgot that the secret to Dax’s scream was pulling on his pud:
