I'm thinking about giving sling a try. Looking for some feedback

Do they suck? How is their customer support?

I know I will need a HD antenna for local channels.

It's OK. I mainly use it for sports. There is a DVR add-on but even with that it's not enough to record a significant amount of stuff. I like Sling much better than the other online cable providers. I just don't watch a lot of TV.

the biggest knock on them is everything is 30fps so sports aren't as smooth as other options like YTTV.

They also used to only have crap quality stereo sound. Have they still not fixed that either.

You can use your sling login to sign into other apps like ESPN fwiw.

It’s cheaper than Hulu and YouTube but the price can add up if you want SEC network, Disney Jr, etc

Big issue with Sling is you pay just as much for the combo with all the sports packages, etc. Also, you can't watch multiple locations. I gave my Dad my Sling info because my he wanted to watch my Niece play sports at a smaller Tx school. He would kick me off all the time. Actually kicked me off during an LSU game so I cancelled it that minute and moved to Youtube TV. I really only watch it for Sports. Sling is good if you don't have multiple TV"s and don't watch much.

This. Not for a multiple streaming household. Also, picture quality seems to suffer in high volume shows (Better Call Saul on Monday). Makes no sense, but it's my experience. That said I have it as it suits my needs.
