Title. I will be up there this weekend, probably staying in Caen. For people who have done D-Day tours, what are the best available? Did you take a tour, or did you explore and sightsee on your own? Thanks.

Overlord Tours out of Bayeux. Fantastic. We took it in April 2019 just weeks before the 75th anniversary.

Overlord is the consensus on this board.

And I’d suggest staying in Bayeux, not Caen, if you have the option.

We took a tour and the guide was a local that had studied at LsU 25 years ago. (Local From France, not a Louisiana local)

He was familiar with Louies, Tiger stadium, Indian Mounds etc. was a pretty cool connection. Unfortunately I don’t remember the tour group. I’ll look though some pictures to see if I caught it on the van. It was a “small group” tour. Only 8 guests in a van. Much better than the big tour bus groups.

I’ll edit if i find the name

Edit.. found it LINK to Blue Fox Travel
