The state of LA does not produce enough talent to build a top power 5 program. The state produces plenty of top level talent but it’s the depth of that talent that is the issue.

If you want to be a year in and year out contender you have to recruit nationally.

I think that is true for most states.

For Louisiana, it depends on what positions you are looking at.

The issue is always the big nasties. We get some good ones in this state, just not enough to build a whole line usually, and definitely not enough for depth there.

WRs and DBs, Louisiana has that in spades.
