Unless this is going to generate more money, this is a worthless effort.
Which it obviously is (if it happens) since ESPN is behind it. Neither conference would have interest in it if it didn't lead to more money for them.

Oregon and Washington have eyes on the B10. Everyone knows that.
It may be inevitable but it is clearly not imminent.

Arizona, Arizona State, Utah and Colorado aren’t going to wait around and watch everything fall apart. They would be smart to make their move now.
Unless they can make as much money or more as they could by leaving if they just keep their historic conference together.

That’s the big key though. Why stick around when you know your two biggest remaining assets have a foot out of the door?
Lack of trust causes panic movement.
Only way they can prevent it from happening is if ESPN can guarantee “x” revenue dollars even if multiple teams leave for the Big Ten. Otherwise, that dollar amount seems pretty worthless in the grand scheme.
Nobody wants to be the one without a chair when the music stops. Weirdly enough, the Big 12 seems to be the most stable option.
