I can picture you, next summer, at the beach, with a subtle but legible tattoo that says
You should see the other guy
Seriously, congrats on having the attitude it takes to keep going.

quote:Be glad it didnt, I'm still in a lot of pain 10 days after the surgery
RPLND is no joke. Wish you a good recovery.
quote:Still waiting on the pathology from the surgery to find out why these tumors didn't react to an insane amount of chemo over the last 18 months. My docs are pissed it got this far that they had to start cutting and I'm interested as well. (duh)
If you had cancer in the kidney or ureter that were removed. Google a new cancer treatment call Padcev. It was recently approved for use. It may or may not be an option for you.
quote:Had torodol while in the hospital but they flipped me to oxy at home. They gave me a script of docusate to keep the intestinal tract moving, which it fired back up this morning after the coffee.
The super ibuprofen (torodol?) Will do more for pain than the narcotics. Take some laxatives so you're not stopped up and staining on the toilet. That shite is bad .
quote:It's no question - i'd be dead by now.
I occasionally have a conversation, usually with my parents, about how much cancer treatment has improved over the last 40 - 50 years, and how many people are alive today who wouldn’t have survived their cancers in the 1970s or earlier. You’re probably in that number.
quote:Early 40's
How old are you?
quote:Same here except my scar is 2' long and goes across my abdomen just below the diaphragm.
Bone marrow transplant Chemo Surgery huge scar from chest to right above the woo hoo.
There - questions and comments and such. Haven't had much computer time the last few days as I can only really sit comfortably in the recliner or in bed, so I figured I'd check in while feeling decent. Thank you all for the prayers and such. Still hurts, but getting better every day. Hopefully the worst is in the past now.
