Are you joking? I remember the 70’s and 80’s when Americans were widely concerned about a foreign nation “buying up” America. That nation? Japan.

And at the time, unbeknownst to most of those concerned Americans, the nation whose citizens owned the most property in America was Holland!

Thats a bit preposterous...if you want to cap it at a certain arbitrary size, sure go for it, but dont expect other countries to allow our investors to buy thousands of acres of Ag land if we wont allow chinese to buy the same.

If you had a billion dollars would you want an island in the Caribbean? A house in Spain? Greece?
