Alejandro Alvarado is the only U20 non-Portuguese player to start in the Primeira Liga this season. The USSF did not overlook him and invited him for every U20 camp until he finally could be released.

Alvarado could have easily declined this provisional cap-tying event to focus on his club or if he was very unsure internationally, just like Luca Koleosho declined Canada U20. It's great to see a player with this level of promise show commitment to the US U20s.
