This is starting to get extremely frustrating.

That's two straight years missing out on the number one DB in Louisiana

LSU is 44th in recruiting. Bama is now getting high profile recruits with Tony mitchell. Ohio State and Texas are dominating. They're in the lead for Jordan Matthews. It's time for this staff to get to work.

Louisiana recruiting doesn't look too pretty at the moment, really can't spin it

1. Arch Manning - Texas
2. Shelton Sampson - undecided
3. Derek Williams - Texas
4. Eli Holstein - Alabama
5. Jaiden Ausberry - def not LSU
6. Zalance Heard - undecided
7. Tackett Curtis - Midwest prob
8. Omarion Miller - likely Neb
9. Kylie Jackson - undecided
10. Jordan Matthews - Texas lean

Get used to LSU and fans being happy with a top 25 recruiting class. Not going to be able to compete with the big money teams and the gap is going to keep getting wider.

Don’t worry this board convinced me yday that we don’t want or need Mathews. Cheer up Stars don’t mean $h1t, we’re going to turn all these 3*s into Justin Jefferson and Patrick Mahomes , calm down it’s only June they say.
At least for 3 more days then they’ll use the it’s only July quote, or we don’t need him any way. While honestly it ain’t going smooth in the recruiting stuff, trust me, no melt here just a dose of reality, downvote away idgaf

I don’t know how many players have to go where the money is before you people understand that actual recruiting is not taking place anymore. So unless LSU can get people to blindly throw their money away to 18 year old kids you are going to have a lot of players going random places following the money.College football recruiting is just a big live auction and the highest bidder 9 out of 10 times is going to win.Every so often a kid won’t care about the money and they coming regardless but most kids aren’t turning down $200k-$500k

The staff is busting its arse. We simply can’t or won’t compete with the money players. I lean more towards can’t but I won’t leave anything off the table.

Let’s be honest here y’all, these are for the most part young black kids that for the majority probably don’t come from the a middle class background. The music they listen to, the athletes they are influenced by, the things they see in other mediums all hammer home the idea that it’s all about the money. So likely, 90% of them and most of them at the top end, will only give a frick about the dollar bill at the end of the day.

We can’t match what aTm, UT, Georgia, USC, OSU, or Michigan can throw at those guys. And most people aren’t crazy enough to bankrupt themselves in order for their football team to be good like Alabama.

Maybe I’m wrong, I could be. But we simply don’t have endless pockets to pull from.

Well, CBK hasn't coached a game at LSU yet.

Sort of hard to put blame there.

Ok. LSU’s staff were all at various jobs in College Football and the NFL last year so they had zero relationships with the kids in Louisiana. However, they have contacts from around the country and we are seeing those kids visit LSU.

Look at the kids on that list. Now you knew that LSU has Walker Howard and that Manning and Holstein were neither coming to LSU. You also knew that Tackett Curtis was an Ohio State lean before Brian Kelly arrived in Baton Rouge.

The previous staff did not recruit this class because they were fired during the first half of the season. So somehow this staff is at fault?

Last, any list of the Top 10 players in Louisiana that doesn’t include Trey Holly is questionable.
