I understand the pro abortion position completely when I look at it from the other perspective. If you don't think its alive at that point, who cares?
If you truly believe that 16 cells have a "soul" and that Original Sin will send that soul to Hell (or maybe Purgatory) if someone kills those cells before baptism (or maybe before "being saved"), how can you EVER justify imposing such an awful penalty upon an innocent "soul."
I can think that is mystical, superstitious nonsense all day, and still respect you for sincerely holding a consistent belief and acting upon it.

I understand the belief, but not imposing that upon others if that's your only reasoning for passing a law about it.
