I think Freeman will do a good job there, but ND has a ceiling. Kelly met it, and so will Freeman...and every other guy that comes after that.

I don't agree. What if there was an all women's college that started admitting males? Do you think a college like that would have a low ceiling? Because there was one like that and it became a perennial powerhouse in college football. The coach who built them into that was a great man named Bobby Bowden. A great man like that would take ND and win national championships. Kelly looks like a good coach, and I'm happy LSU has him, but the reason he didn't win more at ND was because of the ceiling on ND coached by Brian Kelly, not on ND alone.
