The NCAA is a joke, but they didn't do this. Dumbarse judges and politicians made it possible. A-holes like Jay Bilas, who preached for athletes being paid, did this. The NCAA lost the lawsuit, and pretty much said F it, let it play out.

I don't blame them. Any rules they set up, could have been the genesis for more lawsuits. They should let it go to hell, like it's doing.

I think fans need to quit watching it, the way many have with the NFL. Let the current version of college football go to hell, and be reborn, with real students playing for their schools. Let these guys go play in the USFL, until the college draft.

I already thought that way before NIL because I knew what guys were getting under the table, pre-NIL. We've been watching semi-pro football for years. The Power 5's were funneling money to players already. The only teams the NCAA messed with were the ones that were exposed by lawsuits. LSU, USC, Miami, Michigan hoops, they all got caught because court testimony showed boosters paid money to players.
