Was doing a little research for a just me n Mrs jkyle trip for next summer and Bali has entered the convo . From a little bit of research it looks fantastic. Anyone have any experience there ? Thanks In advance.

We had our honeymoon there. 18 days I think. Should be a thread on it in the big trip thread that is stickied.

Thanks. Good info on there. From what I’ve gathered it’s just expensive to fly there but once you’re there you can enjoy some very lavish lodging and an asspile of cool activities for VERY cheap. Also , all your pics expired from the old thread . Bummer.

I can email you the pics
But yes getting there is expensive and depending on how nice you want your accommodations it can be very reasonable or pretty pricey but everything else is so cheap

Thanks but that’s okay I don’t want you to go through all that trouble.
I was originally looking at Italy or Greece for our alone trip next summer but I’m really liking what I’m seeing from Bali. I don’t think any of those three would be a bad trip by any means.
If we choose Bali and let’s say we had a 12-14 day block carved out for the trip (That’s including the 40-60 hours of travel ) would you recommend staying in multiple places or just setting up somewhere fairly central and arranging transportation?

Stay in at least two places
Was there three years ago with a one year old. Stayed on south side in a villa overlooking ocean then a villa closer to Ubud in the jungle. Completely different experiences and I’m sure there even more to explore.

Sounds like a good plan. I would def like to do at least 2. Anymore than that though and Mrs jkyle starts griping at me bc she hates packing/unpacking.
What did you and the little one do while there ? Thanks for the reply.

We stayed in three locations. Maybe four. I recommend moving around.
Check into a villa at Soori. Ubud is worth a few days as well. And we stayed at a national preserve that was really cool because we literally had deer and wild monkeys hanging out all around our room.
When I’ve had some coffee tomorrow I’ll try to share some of the old photos in this thread.
