I started my businesses with about $10k to my name and $100k in student loan debt. So yes, I'd say there was a lot of hard work and sacrifice.
eta: budgeting is important for everyone...I was going through lifestyle creep, so budgeting has helped get me back on track. I also feel way more in control of my spending
