We basically have 3 spots up for grabs in this scenario: LF, 3rd, and DH

I think Dugas, White, Stevenson, and Jobert battle it out.

Personally i think Joberts lack of consistency makes him the odd man out and that Jay already promised Dugas a spot in the field to come back.

3rd....Dugas
LF..... Stevenson
DH.....White

Isn't this option a huge relief from what it could have been?

Stevenson did not look good this year. Without a huge jump no way he plays over Jobert. They are on 2 different levels currently

The reason dugas will come back has more to do with his draft stock being next to nothing. He had a down year and has to come back to redeem himself or at least just play and play healthy .

White will be given the opportunity at third. I believe one of the reasons he transferred was to get more of an opportunity in the field. You'll have a rangy shortstop in Pineda and a rangy second baseman in either Jordan Thompson or possibly Carter Young if he ends up transferring to LSU. You'll give up the few hot shots past White at third if he brings in 27+ home runs and 74+ rbi with an average of 0.362. All better numbers than Crews had this past season.
