I’m late to the party but I am about 9 months into owning my first 3/4 ton a diesel Sierra. Yes price if diesel sucks and maintenance will suck. However there is such a night and day difference between gas and diesel and 1/2 vs 3/4 ton I will never go back.
I needed the ability to pull a gooseneck so I needed to move up to the 3/4 ton but even towing lighter loads like bay boats and such is so much easier. I’m hooked and I’ll pay the difference for the ability to pull and stop with it.

We’ve had a bumper pull travel trailer before and now have a 5th wheel. It’s much easier to tow and a much more relaxing drive. It’s got me looking for a gooseneck to tow my equipment. My bumper pull trailer will handle everything I have but it’s maxed out and can get into the tail wagging the dog sometimes. I can probably sell it for what I paid for it lol.
