The Spec's closest to my house has been selling dried and roasted insects for years.
Similar to this but they come in boxes with windows in the front so you can see the contents. I always thought that was very UNappetizing until I saw this package with a picture of a live bug.

I think this pretty much comes down to the two groups of people and their approach to food. One group only eats traditional foods that they grew up with, and they find this gross. The other group is willing to try new, different foods without much thought of perception.
