Having to double-tap links in Chrome on iOS

Anyone else having this issue in recent months. I did a quick Google and found some people speaking of same issue but found no real remedy.
It happens to me about 75% of the time. Especially here on TD when I'm surfing the forums and clicking all the thread headings or forums to open them.
I've ensured chrome is my default browser and I've deleted, soft rebooted, and then reinstalled chrome as some of my inquiries suggested. All to no avail.
Just wondering if anyone here has ran into this as well?
