also, you need NIL contracts pitched the day before you visit.

Imagine being stupid enough to believe that recruiting rankings in June (when Northwestern, Texas Tech and Cincinnati are all in the top 5 and Alabama isn’t in the top 30) actually matter.

This is also just a blatant lie the #5 overall player in the country and top 3 QB Dante Moore has LSU in his top group.

There’s a reason for that. It’s called WALKER HOWARD. The top QB recruits don’t want to play behind him. It’s that simple.

Didnt Louisiana just pass a law to help LSU with NIL and recruiting?

OP, would you rather “NFLSU”? When kids leave even as 4/5th round picks?

Point is that change had to happen. If you can come up with a better slogan, do it.

Staffs not “staff’s” speaking of education…

Most of these kids do not care about an education so “Graduate Champions” is a silly strategy in my humble opinion.

With all the sad stories out there about gazillion-dollar signees flaming out in 5 years and then hitting skid row, it would seem that the NFL (and colleges too for that matter) would institute awareness programs to help stem the tide. Ya think?

I know there are classes for them to learn how to speak to the media. I'm not sure if they have a class explaining the importance of getting a degree.

They know they won't all get drafted, but it's like they also don't see how a LSU degree with football on your resume can get you almost any job you'd like in LA.

Unfortunately, most of these kids only see fast money and it's saddening they can't just see 5 years ahead. Many of them really think they're good enough to play in the league and have an entire family riding their coattails and leaching off of them.

NIL changed recruiting, get used to it. Stop panicking, kids will commit later

HOWEVER, I wonder how well kids now respond to this idea. Recruiting has now minimized to a basic pay to play (with NIL), and the focus is the fastest trajectory to the NFL.

You just answered your own question. This isn't about a free education anymore it's all about making money on your likeness.

You are very naive if you think that’s the only thing they are pitching and is their only strategy. You need to know the difference between public/coach/media speak and what’s being said to the recruits. Hint. It’s different with every single player.
