Alajones4 and I have been section hiking the AT for six years now. This year, we hiked about 80 miles from Damascus, VA to an Alpaca farm near Atkins, VA. These are some pics from our trip this year.

Started in Damascus.

Ascent from Damascus

A lot of the streams were swollen. There were some moments of extra caution.

Our nightly setup

Old RR bridge

Ascent to Mt. Rogers (highest point in Virginia)

It started really coming down that night. It was very cold and windy and we weren’t prepared.

Next day was gorgeous sauntering through Roan Highlands

Li’l Sebastians

We were hiking through right at the tail end of thru hiker season. So most of the shelters were packed.

Awesome! Would love to do that. I’ve hiked about 3 miles of it!
